My clients are looking for effective evidenced based cognitive behavioral therapy to resolve or manage their symptoms related to obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, anxiety, and insomnia. They want to work with a therapist who is well trained and has years of experience in working with diverse groups of people. They want to feel validated and work collaboratively with their therapist. They are ready to tackle the emotional barriers to build a life worth living. My clients are racially and ethnically diverse, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, first responders, veterans, and civilians.
I have over 25 years of experience. I worked for the Veterans Administration for 23 years before starting private practice full time. I am proficient in evidenced based therapy protocols including Exposure Response Prevention, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT for Insomnia, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
It takes courage to reach out for help and overcome the stigma or invalidation from others to finally prioritize your needs and engage in therapy. Therapy is often a last resort as people struggle to imagine where to start or how they will ever trust a stranger. My certified therapy dog, Murphy will help welcome you and make you feel at ease.
