Both children and adults can benefit from the support of a therapeutic relationship. With over 30 years of experience as a crisis counselor and psychotherapist, I'm passionate about helping people build healthier, more satisfying relationships and lives. My therapeutic approach focuses on reducing stressors and building on strengths by enhancing insight and understanding and ultimately replacing negative behavior and communication patterns with healthier ones. I work with compassion and respect while actively, yet gently guiding clients to progress toward awareness, growth and healing.
I've worked with hundreds of children and parents throughout my career, as well as leading parenting groups and workshops to address the needs specific to these populations. I'm particularly devoted to helping pre-teens, teens and new parents to navigate the challenges of these life stages.
I offer a free, 15 minute phone consultation session for clients to have the opportunity to speak with me and inquire further about my services as well as to briefly discuss the reasons why they are pursuing therapy, before committing to a full intake session.
