I work with individuals dealing with depression and or anxiety. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients understand their views about themselves and others. These views may not be adaptive in current situations and changing them can lead to growth and change. I work in a empathetic, respectful and non judgmental manner. I am comfortable giving feedback and providing a moderate amount of interaction.
I believe strongly in the benefit of therapy and the ability of people to make changes. I try to focus on one's strengths. The Mind/Body connection is one I find very important and I incorporate meditation and relaxation exercises to reduce stress and depression when appropriate.
