In order for effective change to happen in psychotherapy there has to be a good alliance between therapist and client. I seek to provide a sense of safety and understanding so that issues can be explored, overcome or reconciled. I work with people who are suffering from depression, anxiety, stress related illness, anger management problems and relationship issues. My intention is to help people improve their overall health, enhance their well being, recognize their inherent strengths and feel more fulfilled.
I have over 20 years experience working in the mental health field. I am committed to providing compassionate, effective and personalized care. I seek to make therapy a process that unfolds through connection, dialogue, understanding and practical guidance.
Some of the techniques I use are cognitive behavioral interventions, solution focused strategies, meditation, guided imagery, somatic awareness, motivational interviewing, hypnosis,dream work and positive psychology modalities. I seek to be knowledgeable in the latest research of what treatment is effective for people.
