Welcome! As a trauma specialist I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be a uniquely safe and nurturing space where you can truly be yourself. I take an attachment based approach to therapy, understanding that a foundation of safety is crucial to making real changes in how we think and feel in relationships. My style is warm, compassionate and attentive to your needs, ensuring that you feel valued and understood in our time together.
I have specialized training in the treatment of attachment trauma, sexual abuse and traumatic exposures. My experience includes extensive work in outpatient clinics, sexual abuse treatment teams, inpatient settings and adoption services. I especially enjoy working with transracial adoptees and have a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and I recognize how important it is to find the best fit for your needs and personality. Taking the time to make this choice is a caring step towards healing for yourself or your loved one. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to talk through what you are looking for.
