Thirty four years ago, when I began to practice, I was fascinated by the resiliency of people individually, and their family systems. I have worked with people from many different backgrounds, with many different challenges. My approach to therapy is down-to-earth and uncomplicated. Most often I lean heavily into Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Neurofunctional Therapies. I look at challenges from several viewpoints and work with the client to help them identify their strengths within to address their own unique concerns.
Currently I work with people from 20 to 99 years. Many of us look around and see changes in the larger world, in our relational circles and within ourselves. It can be confusing and feel hopeless. I work with people who are overwhelmed, feeling displaced, helping them build hope in their lives.
I've been working with people for a long time. I know life can be lonely, sad and scary. Quite often, all people, both young and old, can't find a roadmap for their journey.
