There is nothing wrong with you! Life can be tough, especially when you don't have a space to be yourself or explore what that looks like. I believe everyone deserves to be seen, heard, & valued just as they are. My goal is to help you find your strengths, build resilience, & get to know yourself better so you can break down walls. I often work with individuals that have a history of abuse, struggle with anxiety or self-esteem, are neurodivergent, and/or have chronic medical issues. I use trauma-responsive approaches with each person, which include mindfulness, self-empowerment, problem solving, & a hefty dose of validation.
I believe that gratitude & sunshine make the days a little easier. I am especially passionate about equity & inclusivity. I hold the belief that ALL people have inherent value- no exclusions. I'm fascinated by neuroscience, as learning how our brain works helps us stop shaming ourselves. Boundaries, the impact of trauma, & resources are major focuses for me.
Therapy can feel scary or uncomfortable. My goal is to create a space that allows you to show up fully (messy, angry, sad, happy, etc.) in order for you to speak unfiltered; that's where the good stuff begins. If you're willing to show up and be honest, I would love to work together and remind you how amazing you are.

I work with clients who may be struggling with self-esteem, PTSD, and depression/anxiety related to experiencing childhood abuse, estrangement, and other life challenges. The first few sessions are focused on assessment of symptoms, diagnosis (if using insurance), and creating a treatment plan to help map out goals. The therapeutic relationship is crucial, and is always being attended to.

As an 'eclectic' social worker I pull from numerous methodologies dependent upon the client's learning style/preferences. The foundation of my work is based on attachment theory, schema therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychoeducation. The goal is to help individuals understand themselves and recognize their most influential thought patterns, in order to create individualized change.
