It's not always easy taking the first step to seek out counseling, but chances are, if you are here, you are recognize that something isn't working for you and you are ready to make some changes in your life. Working collaboratively, counseling can address these issues to help you achieve your personal wellness goals.
Specialty areas include anxiety, depression, grief, conflict resolution, co-occurring disorders, adjustment and phase of life changes. Using the holistic approach, clients can expect to gain insight, ways to change and feel better. Clients set goals they would like to achieve to improve their quality of life and functioning.
I am member of the American Mental Health Counselor's Association as well as the Iowa Mental Health Counselor's Association. Other areas of expertise include public speaking on topics relating to mental health, wellness, adjustment, coping and substance abuse issues.
