I am a philosophical counselor with more than ten years' experience consulting in philosophy in Italy, Switzerland, and the US. I've worked in the sexuality program at the California Institute for Integral Studies. My aim as a counselor is to enable you to "think through" compelling questions, decisions in your life to gain a greater sense of personal freedom, ethical clarity, and a sense of renewed vitality. In this work I draw upon my advanced training in classical and continental philosophy: my PhD in philosophy was completed at Sorbonne in Paris, and my philosophical consulting was completed in New York
I help my clients reach important decisions by working with them to clarify the ethical foundations of their choices. My approach involves values clarification, dialogue, role-playing, and philosophical readings aimed at enabling clients to align their thoughts, feelings, and instinctive sense of being alive, through skype also.
I train clients to observe their lives philosophically-grasping deeply what they are living, choices they face, and the values underlying those choices. Our practice of philosophical observation initially takes place in an office and later may take place in everyday settings like a café or a dance class.
