I use an integrative and collaborative psychotherapeutic approach, working to nurture the relationship between my clients and myself, with curiosity, warmth, and humor. Still others are eager for in-depth, insight-oriented therapy, delving into the past, searching for new meaning and ways of being. Whatever the intensity and focus, I seek to help people find ways to help lead fuller richer lives, alleviate distress, deal with life's challenges, and improve relationships.
I work with people with diverse experiences, ages, ethnicities, personalities, nationalities, sexual preferences, cultures, and beliefs. My practice includes students, teachers, doctors, lawyers, scholars, artists, writers, religious leaders, corporate executives, health care workers, and homemakers. We can talk about anything, including family, faith, conflict, fear, shame, anger, guilt, love, and work.
Many psychotherapists have a general practice as I do, working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss. I also have experience in some less common areas, including couples counseling at all stages of a relationship, adult ADHD, aging issues, and personal trauma.
