Often what we need most is to be seen, heard, and appreciated just as we are. Through my own personal counseling and my professional training, I’ve witnessed the power of healing through connection with another and this is the foundation of my work as a therapist. When we are able to be vulnerable with another person, to be truly seen and heard it can be liberating. I bring this approach to my work with a variety of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, attachment wounds, emerging adulthood, and substance use.
I am certified in EMDR, trained in Level 1 of IFS, and work from a person-centered, attachment, feminist, and strengths-based approach. I integrate therapeutic techniques from feminist-empowerment therapy, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and harm reduction. Above all, my approach is relational and trauma-informed. I am also certified in Safe Sound Protocol.
I believe that with a strong therapeutic relationship with an emphasis on trust and safety, therapy can create the conditions for this healing. I am passionate about supporting people through the process of healing from past events that can keep us stuck. Please contact me for a free 15 min phone consultation.
