I use an experiential, trauma-informed, and strengths-based treatment approach that combines action-oriented and reflective techniques based in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Psychotherapy (including EMDR), Expressive Arts Therapy, Nature-Based & Wilderness Therapy, Psychedelic-Assisted & Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, and Mindfulness practices.
As a Nature-Based Expressive Arts Therapist, I love to bring clients outdoors where you can participate in such therapeutic activities as art, music, and creative writing while also connecting with nature. These methods can empower you to explore ideas and feelings that initially may be too difficult for you to talk about.
As the former director of a college/career access program at a non-profit arts organization, I offer 10+ years of experience in college admissions and career counseling. I have often used expressive arts and assertiveness training techniques to help ease anxieties associated with the college or employment application process.
