Susan (Sue) Brenner
Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in CT, NY, CA with 39 years of experience. My areas of expertise are counseling couples and individuals who are experiencing relationship distress and intimacy issues. I provide insight and perspective that helps you resolve your problems while creating a trusting and safe environment. My work is client centered and collaborative using a systemic approach to facilitate change. I focus on process, attachment needs and emotions in order to deepen your experience in therapy. I find success using a relational attachment perspective for healing. My Website www.brennertherapy.com.
I offer EFT couples therapy intensives which are longer sessions twice in one day, (90 minutes am, 90 minutes pm with a break in between). I also offer discernment counseling for couples who are not sure if they want to stay together. I offer tele-mental health sessions online for couples and individuals. I also offer AEDP trauma therapy for individuals.
What makes me successful as an experiential therapist is my ability to pinpoint issues and address them directly with clarity and compassion. I have a mindful, non-judgmental, presence that helps people get in touch with their core emotions (sadness, fear, anger, joy, excitement). Name emotions and use them for wellbeing, instead of being controlled by them.
