I have worked with families and individuals for the past 20+ years helping them with child and family issues. As a psychotherapist, I work with those in all phases of life to help them better understand themselves and feel more balanced, healthy and confident. I focus on helping people through periods of transition from dating, marriage and children to divorce, illness and bereavement as well as women's issues as dictated by different life stages. My other areas of experience include career transitions, adaptation to today's changing job market and developing interviewing skills. I also specialize in grief therapy.
Through my own personal and professional experience, I have developed a broad background in family advocacy, adoption, learning differences and learning issues, and the many ways this affects children and their families. These are areas in which I have written and taught extensively.
I work with adolescents and young adults to recognize their potential. I guide them in finding their own way through the unknowns they face in today's complicated world. I help them develop inner resources to facilitate happy and effective lives. I also counsel clergy members of varying denominations.
