Do you feel overwhelmed by the demands of day-to-day living? Is there something weighing heavily on your mind that is affecting your ability to function as well as you want to? Being able to talk about those feelings with someone can be a huge relief. I believe that establishing a good relationship between the therapist and the client is critical to the healing process. Using a non-judgmental approach, I work with my clients to explore and identify the root cause of the distress, and together, we set goals for solutions to managing or overcoming the source of the issue.
In our first session together, we'll go through introductions of one another. We'll review the confidentiality of the therapeutic setting and discuss the preferred format for counseling (phone, video). Next, we'll review the intake, where I can get to know more about the client and the presenting issue and the client can choose to add anything additional.
I am a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I have extensive training in the area of Autism as well as in other learning difficulties. I have experience working with sexual abuse, poverty, trauma, and mental health issues.
