I am an experienced clinician, who strongly believes that therapy is a partnership. I see my role as helping an individual arrive at mutually agreed upon goals, which will lead to a better quality of life. I am an active participant in our sessions and believe that warmth and sometimes humor are an important part of the therapy process. My therapeutic style is engaged, active and pragmatic. My goal is to create a supportive yet challenging environment, while focusing on getting to the main issues quickly and safely.
For the past 25 years, I have worked with individuals dealing with a wide range of issues such as; depression, anxiety, relationship problems, divorce, eating disorders, trauma and codependency and life transitions. Perhaps, most importantly, I have seen measurable success in my patients at the end of treatment.
My practice is limited to adults from college age on. I use a variety of treatment modalities geared to helping the patient make real changes, that positively effect their real lives in the real world. In my CT practice I accept additional insurance plans as well as credit cards.
