Your family doctor would not offer the same treatment to every patient dealing with physical pain. You should expect the same type of individualized and nuanced treatment when you or your family member experiences pain of an emotional nature. A licensed psychologist with 20+ years of clinical experience and an integrative orientation, I've modeled my psychological treatment approach on the family doctor paradigm. My goal is to explore, assess, identify, and then compassionately and collaboratively address the unique presenting life issues of each patient with knowledge, positivity, and creativity.
I work across the developmental spectrum; with children, teens, adults, parents and families. My training encompasses psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapies, family treatment, E.M.D.R., Mindfulness and creative art therapies. Pragmatic, developmentally informed and dynamic strategies help patients gain confidence, improve relationships, address traumas, and manage distressing emotions.
My therapeutic approach is strengths-based, supportive and respectful. As an emotional ally and advocate, I will join with you and/or your family member to encourage and promote self-awareness, healing and resilience, personal growth, and greater well-being.
