After a long first career as an artist, I came to realize I wasn’t satisfied with my contribution to the world. I returned to school for a master’s in social work so that my sense of purpose and meaning can better align with my life’s work. Having made this mid-life shift, I know that change is possible.
I draw from multiple evidence-based treatment modalities, always with a client-centered, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach. I will work with you to identify and use your strengths to navigate the changes you wish for yourself.
I grew up in a family of educators, and I believe we are all lifelong learners. In my personal life, I am both a traveler and a homebody. I value quiet and solitude as well as my relationships with my husband, two grown daughters, and dear friends. When Minnesota is thawed, I love to garden - weeding and digging my hands in the dirt is very therapeutic!
