All people have needs and the capacity for emotions. Even though we have this in common, who you are and your response to the environment are unique. I see each person, couple, and family as distinctive. I start with a curiosity to learn more about you in a safe environment. My therapeutic process has a general focus on promoting self-awareness and healthy choices. I will work toward your growth, development, and wellness by asking about your thought processes, exploring your behavior, and attending to emotions. With individuals, couples, and families, I pay attention to the relationship to self and others.
I have a unique skill set as a therapist, nurse, and educator. Through over 30 years working as a nurse and educator, I learned a lot about people and myself. I became a therapist to deepen and broaden the ways I am able to assist people in development, healing, and bringing about lasting change. I work with the whole person including body and mind.
Since I am an LMFT Associate, I am supervised by Ken Bateman, EdD, LMFTS (972-680-8986). Also, I am a trainee in the Dallas Society for Bioenergetic Analysis program which is a relational approach exploring the connection of the mind and body. I have a practice open to individuals, couples, and families. I look forward to working with you!
