I see both adults and adolescents for a variety of reasons including Depression, Anxiety, Addictions, Grief, Relationship issues and lifestyle changes. I also work with individuals who struggle with Eating disorders of restrictive and binge/purging type, as well as individuals contemplating Bariatric weight loss surgeries. In addition to these types of issues, I am trained in EMDR and certified as a Rapid Trauma Resolution clinician (RRT) to treat individuals who have experienced either single or multiple traumatic events in their lifetime.
Symptoms of trauma can include fear, anxiety, anger, hypervigilance, sadness, depression, flashbacks and trust and intimacy issues in relationships. EMDR and Rapid Trauma Resolution (RRT) are treatment approaches designed to permanently eliminate the negative emotional or behavioral effects of the trauma thus improving a person's day to day functioning.
I work from a person centered and humanistic approach to therapy. My goal is to ensure that you feel comfortable working with me so that together, we may address the challenges you have been experiences that have been keeping you from living your best and most fulfilling life.
