About
Clients often come to see me when they feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed. I strive to help clients identify and explore the foundation of a challenge or issue so that they can effectively (and often quickly) achieve deep and lasting change. My work is rooted in my belief that our bodies and minds are designed to heal, and we can get stuck when those innate processes are interrupted or ignored. I use an integrative approach to help strengthen the client's inherent wisdom and ability to heal, with an emphasis on self-awareness, skill-building, and the mind-body connection.
I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting (BSP) for the treatment of trauma, PTSD, unresolved grief, social/performance anxiety, phobias, chronic pain, panic disorders, emotional reactivity, and adjustment concerns . Some of my other specialties include DBT, LGBTQ-affirmative therapy, and narrative interventions.
Because of the solution-focused and body-centered nature of some of my mindfulness and trauma-recovery work, clients often come to see me for short-term therapy (less than 10 sessions) to address a specific, unresolved issue. Phone consultations available. ***NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19, ALL SESSIONS WILL BE REMOTE VIA TELEHEALTH UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.***
