I believe that your behaviors, choices, struggles and symptoms make sense within the context of your story and environment and I would be honored to walk with you on your healing journey. I became passionate about offering hope and healing to others through my own story of brokenness. I enjoy working with adults, families, and couples who are struggling with issues related to PTSD/trauma, betrayal trauma, relationship issues, separation/divorce, addiction/codependency, co-occurring disorders, parenting, embodiment, grief/loss, mindfulness, anxiety/depression, attachment, family issues, sexuality, shame and spiritual concerns/abuse.
I received my Bachelor of Social Work with a concentration in family studies from James Madison University and my Masters of Social Work from North Carolina State University with additional certification in addictions. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings with children, teens, and adults.
I seek to create a safe space where my clients can honor their own stories and make the connections that lead to new skills and behaviors, resulting in a more balanced and fulfilling life. I enjoy spending time with my children, cooking and going on long walks with my sheltie who would love to meet you in the office! I look forward to working together.
