I am intuitive, open minded and direct in my practice. I help people when they are feeling overwhelmed by life and unsure how to move forward. As a couples therapist I support partners to improve communication, increase intimacy, identify yearnings, co-parent more effectively and mediate for couples considering separation and divorce. I prioritize respecting your goals, and we work collaboratively to help you discover new ways to find meaning and build personal changes that can yield to a better life.
I am a certified couples therapist and psychodynamically trained psychotherapist. I work in the 'here and now' while trying to understand how past experiences influence the present. I use the framework of the life cycle to inform my work.This multidimensional approach opens up new avenues through which to see the world, and become empowered.
In addition to my work in private practice, I am affiliated with the Ackerman Institute for the Family where I work on a couples project with a team including Michele Scheinkman, Peggie Papp and Suzanne Iasenza.
