I have been in private practice for 30 years helping people to understand and overcome issues resulting from family of origin issues, life's traumas and repetitive thinking patterns that interfere with their goals. I have experience working with individuals, couples and families from many cultures, religions and alternative lifestyles. My specialty area is long term recovery from substance abuse. The recovery process an amazing spiritual process! I have had the privilege to work with many people who have successfully achieved long term recovery through affect management and have extensive knowledge of the 12-Step programs.
In addition to my work with substance abuse, I also enjoy working with couples and families with adolescent and adult children. Lastly, I am the director of The Auburn Davis Center for Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which is an effective treatment for adolescents and adults with impulse control Issues.

Groups
DBT Skills Training Groups
The Auburn Davis Center for DBT offers skills training groups for adolescents, parents, and individuals. This is a comprehensive program that also provides individual DBT, Parent Skills Groups and coaching calls. Participants learn DBT skills in group and learn to generalize the skills in individual therapy. The program is 25 weeks and can be repeated as necessary. All our groups are now telehealth.
