As a therapist, I have been in private practice for 26 years. I work with adolescents, adults and families. I practice primarily with solution-focused, short term therapy to help aid in empowerment and healing. I utilize life coaching/career building to help adult clients deal with difficult transitions in current day employment. The solution based focused therapies tend to help those dealing with current life stressors. I utilize Sandtray Therapy help people express themselves without needing words. It can be an effective way to help people cope with trauma, depression and anxiety.
Cognitive, Behavioral Modification, Mindfulness, Structured Dyadic Behavior Therapy along with Sandtray Therapy are my primary approaches. Internal Family Systems Therapy is also an approach I utilize in order to help adolescents and their families as a unit. I focus on developing the strength of the individual, adolescent and/or family.
I specialize with adolescents starting at age 12 years old, with emphasis on Parenting, Sandtray Therapies. I have worked with school based/home based services with children and adolescents for over 30 years. The age range of the clients I currently work with is 12-70 years old.
