My specialty is trauma, especially childhood trauma, and clients that are ready to take the journey of healing are my ideal clients. If you have heard the story of the man that fell into a hole, then you will know what I mean when I say I want to be "Joe" that jumps into the hole with his friend and walks with him on the way out of the hole. Other clients I enjoy helping include children, families, and those needing help figuring out who they are at the core.
My approach to therapy uses both Bowen and Narrative therapy modalities. Bowen is about intergenerational processes that pass down through the generations such as how to raise children, how to handle money, taboo subjects, and other thoughts and beliefs. On the other hand, narrative therapy is about collaborating to re-write the story of your experience.
