My style is to provide a warm and encouraging environment. I believe that using psychodynamic and cognitive methods are most effective. I work with clients on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting concerns, relapse prevention and personal growth through life changes. I bring specialized training and personal experience to my work with those challenged by reproductive issues such as pre and post partum anxiety, infertility and pregnancy loss.
I believe that the support of others is key to making progress toward mental well-being. I often suggest that clients invite people important to their lives to participate in a session to repair or rebuild relationships or to gain the invaluable support that already strong relationships can provide.
Even after 38 years in practice, I am continually struck by the capacity of clients, through our work together, to find their path towards greater self-esteem, healthier relationships and more fulfilling lives. I look forward to working with you.
