Fundamentally, most of my clients are striving to make sense of their life experiences in order to know themselves better and have improved relationships with family and friends. Many client's describe feeling a variety of emotions they struggle with such as anxiety, panic, anger, depression, helplessness, hopelessness, etc. They want to regain a sense of control, intention, and purpose. They want to make life better and more meaningful in order to feel more love, joy, and connection in relationships with family and friends. I work collaboratively with each client to navigate a unique & lasting healing journey.
I utilize trauma informed evidence based treatments to facilitate effective and lasting change. These include, but are not limited to: EMDR, IFS, Ego-state therapy, Poly Vagal, ACT, CBT, psychodynamic, client centered, and family systems therapies. I'm pursuing advanced EMDR Certification being trained & mentored by a top EMDRIA consultant based in Chicago.
I provide a comfortable and safe space for all my clients to share the intimate details of what hurts them most. I believe the therapeutic relationship is paramount in the healing process and therefore put significant energy into ensuring there is a trusting client/therapist relationship.
