I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist and Certified School Counselor. I work with children and families using a child-centered, collaborative approach that honors each child’s unique strengths, voice, and pace. My role is to create a safe, supportive space where children feel understood and empowered, and where parents and caregivers feel included and respected as part of the process. My focus is on insights and strategies that support emotional growth, resilience, and confidence both in and out of the counseling setting.
As a school counselor I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of children and parents, helping them navigate uncharted waters. I continue to be humbled by the dedication and tenacity put forth by parents and caregivers. I see my role as supportive, working collaboratively to help build skills and stronger relationships.
The cornerstone of effective therapy is the therapeutic relationship where each person is seen and heard. I believe in the power of play and that play, as a therapeutic modality, is best for children. In the words of Dr. Gary Landreth, "Toys are children’s words and play is their language.” My approach is nonjudgemental, client focused, and playful.
