Encouraging heart and mind to work together through experiential and non-verbal therapies is my passion. I believe in the healing properties of the creative process and I work to create safe spaces for people to explore their own creative process and experience the benefits of relationship and connection. Possible benefits could include promoting feelings of joy and well-being, increasing self-confidence and courage, learning alternative ways to express thoughts and feelings, promoting empathy, and fostering insight to help move toward change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, Board Certified Art Therapist, and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. I focus on exploring creative process through artmaking and interactions with horses. I practice Equine Integrated Art Therapy at a therapeutic riding center. I also work in an office location where I focus on artmaking.
No previous experience with artmaking or horses is required to participate in these therapy experiences. I would love to partner with you and honor your creative process as you work toward your goals.
