When one door closes but another door hasn't yet opened, it can be really challenging out in that hallway! Maybe someone you loved has died, or you're facing a major transition or a diagnosis, maybe something that used work just isn't working anymore. How can you find courage, support and strength when you're just not feeing it? Change is a challenge at every phase of life. How can we manage it? It helps to have someone listen as we sort it out. Someone who doesn't judge and gives us space to clarify what we need. Someone who appreciates our strengths, understand our needs and can help us make new choices.
My speciality is listening and reflecting, helping people develop compassion for themselves. Everyone has strengths. Our work is based on applying your strengths to meet your challenges. My perspective is based on mindfulness, the 12 Steps, spirituality, creativity and humor- so that the process of self-discovery becomes one of liberation and joy.
In 2020, as a recent widow, I moved across country during the pandemic to live near my family. I stopped seeing clients because I needed time to adjust to this new world and this new life. I discovered the importance of faith and community, in and out of the rooms, and on zoom, and I did find a new life. I look forward to helping others make that change!

Groups
Write to Recover

This hybrid group for women will offer on-line and in-person participants an opportunity to practice mindfulness meditation and create writing to enhance the personal growth and self-care, by focussing on well-being and self-esteem. An evidence-based approach, this workshop has helped bereavement groups and people in recovery from substance abuse, as well as caregivers, educators and clinicians. Meeting weekly, each session will combine mindfulness meditation, a creative writing prompt for in-session free-writing, and a discussion of how these practices can be used to support personal growth and development
