Hi! My name is Susan, I am a mother of two adult children, married and have been a therapist for 19 years. I am certified in EMDR and I am IFS informed. I also have training in DBT, CBT and mindfulness practices. My area of practice is addressing unresolved childhood trauma in adults. I do not work with couples, teens or children. I work with adults who are struggling with unresolved childhood trauma and feel stuck. You may experience unexplained anxiety, depression, numbness, intrusive memories and nightmares. You may feel shame, embarrassment and frustration about how long these challenges have lasted even though you have been in therapy before. I get it!
I am a good listener and will respect you during our work together as we are partners in this process. I have a good understanding of trauma and how it affects clients physically and mentally. I continue to learn new information by engaging in training and networking with other professionals in my field. I am imperfect and freely admit this.
