About
Generally, each person and I begin by exploring the issues that has brought them to seek out my services. This exploration entails a joint effort that unfolds over time. A relationship is formed that helps us both to see more clearly how the individual is operating in their everyday life. It is through such an exploration that the individual begins to understand themselves, and, especially, their more intimate relating. I also believe that the person leads the treatment such that we will only go as far as each person desires. I can offer ideas, but, in the end, it is the individual who leads us.
I work with a broad array of populations, including children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. I believe in working holistically with everyone. For me, treatment entails a unified journey in which the person and I explore together how the systems of physical, emotional and spiritual exist singularly and together.
I received my Masters degree and my doctorate degree from the University of Detroit ( Mercy), a program accedited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and completed an APA accredited Internship. Also I recieved an education in adult Psychoanalysis and graduated from the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.
