We are all been affected by the experiences of our lives. We have all had our own challenges and have felt hurt at some point, and sometimes those stick with us, especially if they have been traumatic. I work with all kinds of trauma and aim to help you work through the experiences your brain is still holding onto that hold you back, and help you become the person you want to be. I view my job as helping to guide you through the healing and growing process, giving you a safe place to feel your emotions, and find/connect with your authentic self. I am dedicated to helping clients make the progress they want in their lives.
I am a client centered therapist and believe there is no one perfect way to do therapy that works for everyone, and that generally you are the expert on you. I am trained in EMDR, AIT, Internal Family Systems, CBT, CPT, Mindfulness, DBT, Positive Psychology, etc., and utilize whatever is needed by the person in front of me at the time.
I try to address the needs of the “whole person” to help build healthy coping tools and emotion regulation, find healthy lifestyle habits, challenge/reframe beliefs and expectations that aren't serving you, increase a sense of self worth/esteem/identity, heal emotional wounds, improve communication, and end the cycles and patterns that hold you back.
