My passion is helping people to understand a diagnosis, and how to parent in light of a child’s diagnosis, as well as being an advocate for the client. Our world is a difficult and challenging place to navigate, but there can always be new thoughts, behaviors, feelings and action that can make life easier. I have over thirty years experience with psychological assessment and psychotherapy with expertise in ADHD, both children and adults, Autism, learning disabilities, anxiety and depression. I love helping people accomplish the changes they want to make to be happy and fulfilled.
In a time where people casually use clinical terms, having a psychological evaluation to clarify and accurately diagnose is so important. Understanding strengths and weaknesses, especially in children, adolescents and college-aged young adults, helps in teaching them how to learn the most effective and efficient way.
The great news is that anxiety, depression, ADHD, and the impact of most disorders can be changed with correct diagnosis and intervention! It is possible to learn behavioral and cognitive strategies to increase productivity, mood and overall achievement. Being happy and having joy is what life is all about!
