I find that people come to therapy when they are having difficulties in their lives such as job stress, problems with their teen or adult child, caregiver stress, sexual and communication concerns, coping with illness, disability and/ or chronic pain, and grief. Depression and anxiety are often natural outcomes of struggling with these issues.
I have done brief and longer-term psychotherapy in medical settings and private practice for over 25 years. I find it to be very important to be very actively involved in sessions, giving concrete feedback and suggestions whenever possible.
I do short-term solution-focused therapy and longer insight-oriented work. I specialize in cognitive-behavioral treatment of depression, anxiety and stress. I am providing telehealth exclusively. My office hours are Tuesday-Saturday. My direct number is 707-373-7024.
