Children are a gift but that doesn’t mean parenting is easy. Looking for therapy options for your child means you are about to entrust them to someone else, hoping to see them flourish and maybe bring that smile back. If you choose me, you will be an integral part of the therapy process. My hope is to help you connect and understand each other better, and eventually work my way out of a job. I offer services for children 3 – 14 years old who are having difficulty adjusting to a new thing, have experienced loss, depression, anxiety, ADHD, bullying, or behavioral issues.
I have experience using CBT, DBT, Sand tray, Art, Play therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I provide a safe, fun, comfortable and nonjudgemental space so children feel free to explore and process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As a first generation Colombian American, I communicate fluently with families in English and Spanish.
I am also mom to a blended family and a military spouse, so I have personal understanding of the unique struggles these families face.
