Hi there! My name is Susan Daub and I hold a Master's Degree in Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota. I am a dually licensed alcohol and drug counselor and mental health therapist. I have been working in the health and wellness field for 15+ years. I am a creative person and work well with clients who are open to exploring creative approaches in their recovery journey.
I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD and trauma using multiple approaches including CBT, ACT and IFS. I specialize in emphasis on co-occurring disorders. Tapping into intrinsic motivation is a primary focus of treatment as we work collaboratively to identify strengths and set/implement goals.
The first session sets the tone for the start of a therapeutic relationship so it tends to be a mutual informational gathering process. I focus on gaining a better understanding of history, current challenges and preferences for future work. It's important to find out past experiences in therapy and identify primary goals for work together.
