About
My passion is to work with clients who have become overwhelmed with the pressures of life and need a compassionate and non critical perspective to help them navigate the often difficult terrain of life. While motivation is helpful I am completely comfortable with helping clients explore their own reluctance in facing the painful realities of their life. I am particularly drawn to clients who have experienced trauma, rejection, abandonment, and/or abuse. My considerable life, parenting, and professional experience has truly endeared me to clients who are simply overwhelmed and need gentle guidance to find their way.
Most of my professional experience has been in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief, and domestic violence. I have additional training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma which is similar to EMDR. I am available to do video sessions during the COVID-19 quarantine.
I am pleased to be a part of Family Life Counseling Center who, provides mental health services, family therapy, marriage counseling, and premarital counseling in the Tavares, Florida and the Clermont, Florida area providing a place to work through issues privately and confide in trustworthy therapists.
