As a clinical psychologist I have 30 years of experience helping clients create a more satisfying life. Within my office you will fine a safe and nurturing environment that invites open expression. I see myself as a partner in your journey, working collaboratively to develop a personalized plan for your specific needs. My style is warm, empathic, engaged, and non-judgmental. I apply knowledge from brain research for interventions that promote effective emotional regulation, problem solving, and relationship functioning. My treatment orientation is a combination of Cognitive Behavior, EMDR, and Mindfulness Therapies.
While I worked with all age ranges in the past, I now focus on working in individual therapy with teens 18 and older, and adults, including the elderly. I help clients overcome issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, stress, and anger. I provide small group, intensive parenting training.
I provide EMDR therapy as an adjunctive therapy, collaborating with non-EMDR clinicians who's client's blocked trauma symptoms are impeding therapeutic process. Successful therapy enables my clients become empowered to make choices that bring purpose and joy to their lives. I am honored to be a partner on this very personal and important journey.
