I am an actively engaged therapist with more than thirty five years experience with young adults, adults, older adults (Medicare accepted), children, adolescents and their parents. I do short term as well as long term intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy(relational/interpersonal). I assist people with Interpersonal concerns, internal conflicts, phase of life issues, resolution of trauma and loss, anxiety and depression, and parenting concerns.
I have advanced (post-doctoral- training) and apply psychodynamic understanding to resolving interpersonal/relational difficulties, attachment related difficulties (including adoption) as well as school related difficulties of children and adolescents. I integrate developmental understanding with a knowledge of behavioral approaches supported by the latest research in the field.
I have spent more than thirty years as a professor in a clinical psychology doctoral program teaching about and supervising psychotherapy. I am currently on the faculty of three major postdoctoral training institutions teaching relational/interpersonal psychodynamic psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, parents and children.
