I am Susan Adams, licensed Marriage and Family therapist and licensed Professional Counselor, in private practice for over 41 years. My best credential is that I have been married for 43 years and have raised one daughter, numerous cousins, and am currently owned by two wonderful Boston Terriers. I am a Clinical Member and an Approved supervisor for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. The latter means that I teach and credential other therapists who are looking for state licensure or clinical membership in our professional organization.
I LOVE what I do because it works! I find it exciting and rewarding to watch people live better and healthier lives with better problem resolution. I am Marriage-Friendly, competent in couples therapy, infidelity, and the art of teaching people with concrete tools how to have better relationships.
As a Professional Problem-Solver, I believe it to be debilitating for clients to talk about how bad they feel without knowing what to Do about it. No one ever leaves my office, from the first visit, without a beginning plan to improve things.
