Prisma Rehabilitative Services, Inc. was established in August 2007. The business was founded by Dr. Julia M. Gutierrez, whom earned a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Walden University. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitative Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Texas-Pan American. Dr. Gutierrez strongly values education, compassion, dignity, and respect. These values are the foundation in which Vocational Rehabilitation and Counseling services are delivered to assist customers reach their maximum potential and enjoy quality of life.

My interests and experience include working with personality disorders, trauma, anxiety and depression. Additionally, I assist successful individuals with adjustment issues such as relationship problems, divorce, works problems and general stress. Many of my patients have attempted therapy several times before and are pleased with my unique approach to understanding and helping with their affliction or helping them remove limitations to a fulfilling and satisfying life. Bienvenidos! As a Valley native, I have been in private practice since 1982 in Virginia and Texas. I work with clients above the age of 12 (and younger children in family therapy). I specialize in resolving depression and anxiety, and tackling marital problems relating to infidelity, intimacy, child rearing, midlife crisis, and communicating. When a client is motivated, I find that short-term therapy is often sufficient to effect significant positive changes, but I may see clients for longer periods when the problems are related to childhood wounds. I often use dream analysis to deepen our work, and to help in resolving trauma.

What is the DOT return-to-duty process? A positive test is a violation. So also is a refusal to be tested. So are a number of other things that are prohibited by DOT. When an employee has a positive test or refuses to be tested or has one of DOT's other violations, DOT requires the employer to immediately remove that employee from safety-sensitive functions. An employer who allows an employee with a violation to continue performing safety-sensitive functions is subject to fines, up to $10,000 per day. An employee with a violation has two options.
