If there is a question as to whether you or a loved on has an eating disorder, I can complete an assessment and then help to provide recommendations on what treatment would be a best fit for you or your loved one's needs. If you have been recommended by another professional to seek treatment and need assistance navigating those choices, I can also provide consultation for the best treatment center fit and assist with the admissions process.

I am passionate about helping people overcome feelings of anxiety, shame, depression, or perfectionism related to feelings of inadequacy or worthlessness. I empower people to shed feelings of guilt or over-responsibility for others. I help people develop greater compassion within themselves, as well in marriage, parenting, and other relationships. Yes, it takes work to make changes, but I provide skills and a safe place to make and sustain those changes. I first became aware of my interest in Therapy shortly before Graduating from the University of Minnesota and obtaining a Second Bachelor’s Degree in Social Welfare. (Social Work Courses without the actual “Work”) I also had an interest in Physical Therapy and pursued this as an Enlisted Member of the Navy Hospital Corps where I succeeded in becoming a Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Technician. After practicing as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Texas for a few years, I utilized my GI Bill to pursue a Masters in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University of San Antonio.

I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University, in Austin, Texas in August 2005. In 2003, I received my Master of Arts in Human Services from St. Edward's. In 2001 I graduated from St. Edward's University with a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Psychology. In December 2011, I graduated from Argosy University in Dallas, Texas with a Doctor of Clinical Psychology.
