I am a (LPC) Licensed Professional Counselor, (LMFT) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and (LADC) Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have been licensed since 1999, and provide therapy services, consultation and supervision. I have worked with families, foster families, couples, children, adolescent, teens and adults. I have provided individual, family and group services. I assist with parenting, support, relationships, grief, trauma, anger, depression, defiance, anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation and sexual issues. I believe no one is beyond the hope of healing.

My philosophy is to provide a safe environment for clients to share, grow, and feel accepted. Each human's life journey offers a variety of challenges and details, which at times, can become difficult to navigate. My hope is that by using evidence-based practice including family systems approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, clients, can discover a deeper level of knowledge about themselves which will inspire hope, peace, and confidence to reach their full potential. My philosophy offers a strong focus on the person and their relation to systems in their life including family, school, workplace, society, etc.

I treat individuals in order to treat families with the understanding that the whole of the family system is greater than the sum of its' parts. Thirty five years in the business has taught me that anything and everything that affects an individual also affects the family system as a whole and vice versa.

The smallest change can affect your whole life. Life seems to continue even if we don't feel prepared for it. Moments of anxiety and depression can feel overwhelming. A new diagnosis or loss can create feelings that are difficult to control. Both past and present trauma can leave a lasting impact without support. Addiction can ruin relationships with friends and family. Any of these issues can cause problems in a person's life and therapy can create change in one's life. Saturdays now available. I believe that for counseling to be effective, both you and I must be actively involved in the goal setting and assessment process. This process will require in and out of session work for both of us. At times these changes in self perception, insight, and behavior may feel uncomfortable for you but, with practice, will become more routine.
