I have worked with adults and children since 1984 assisting them to live a more full life in spite of a chronic illness. The illnesses vary. We all struggle with health concerns. I've helped people struggling with both thought and mood disorders, people with anxiety disorders, people struggling with addictions and children and adults coming to grips with trauma. It is important for the people I serve to set reasonable goals to help the person live a more full life with less pain.

The Austin Counseling Center was established in Fairlawn, Ohio to bring comprehensive mental health services that include issues related to reproductive health including pregnancy loss, infertility, postpartum depression and other perinatal mood disorders and changing family/relationship roles.

I am part of a team of health professionals at Signature Psychiatry Associates. If traditional talk therapy hasn’t helped as much as you had hoped, I encourage you to consider equine assisted/animal assisted therapy. In my 25+ years as as therapist, I have found that utilizing horses/animals in sessions has helped many people reach a level of awareness and growth that they were not able to gain in traditional therapy. At Paw Meadows I work with teens and adults (we accept private insurance and self pay). I also do more traditional office sessions, which may include a walk/hike in the great outdoors. Humor is a big part of our sessions. Laughing, smiling, and finding humor in life can help heal the soul.

I am also trained in the World Professional Association For Transgender Health (WPATH) standards to evaluate and write letters for life/gender affirming care.
