I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work. I work with people of all ages, sexuality, genders, and backgrounds. I particularly enjoy working with children; though I currently work with clients of all ages suffering from anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, those struggling with life transitions, and addictions. With all that's going on in the world today it's easy to become overwhelmed, and it can help to talk with someone outside of your circle.

Beacon of Hope Counseling is a Somatic Informed private group practice that offers in-person and telehealth specialized mental health services for individuals throughout their lifespan. Welcome. I work primarily with women of all ages, throughout the lifespan, helping them to be their best selves, finding strengths and answers to create the life they desire. My style is interactive and eclectic, meaning my tool box is deep to allow various approaches to meet you where you are. The client sets the pace and timeframe. Sometimes we work together a short time, other times for longer periods. I have many clients who return for short "tune ups" as life challenges arise.

I have been a human being for 64 years, a practicing psychotherapist for 22. I invite you to stand shoulder to shoulder with me in our journey to ease your suffering and achieve your goals. Therapy offers many possibilities- seeing old problems in a new and open way, being more alive in the world, celebrating the possibility of wonder, or learning more effective strategies for relating. This means exploring and addressing various kinds of dilemmas and pain. It may simply mean support with your creative process, or more commonly, with the feeling that you are “stuck”.

My practice primarily treats children, adolescents, and adults through the modalities of individual,family therapy and parental guidance. I approach each client's issues, situations with care and compassion in order to create a non-judgemental space so they can develop their strengths and gain new insights into their symptoms and behaviors. I enjoy the process of building the therapeutic relationship as I believe that it is through relationships people can heal. Much of my experience is treating trauma; anxiety; mood disorders; and transitional issues such as divorce, adoption, loss, and relational issues.

It is my goal to create a safe environment to facilitate personal growth and healing. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to my client's specific needs. Together we can find a solution. My passion involves working with women, children and families to assist them with acknowledgement of their strengths and feelings, filtering through negative messages that can affect self-esteem, and encouraging growth experiences.

Hello, I'm Brian (preferred pronouns: he/him/his) and I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker working as a therapist in the Boston area for over seven years. I've worked with clients across the lifespan, and am especially passionate working with millennial's (ages 18-40) who struggle with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and ADHD. I also focus on clients dealing with eco anxiety, climate anxiety, and solastalgia. My experience includes working in outpatient mental health settings such as community mental health centers, Boston Public Schools, a therapeutic day school, and as a Clinical Supervisor.

With over 25 years of experience working with people of all ages as a trauma and grief therapist, I have helped individuals and families learn to cope with a wide range of issues including partner loss, anxiety, depression, family conflict, complex trauma and sexual assault. I provide parent guidance and coaching for caregivers who have children with challenging behaviors and special needs. I have expertise with foster, kinship and adoptive families. We use 10 acres of land on a farm we revived to give hope toward the pursuit of happiness and wholeness.
