Mary Calabrese is an experienced clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist practicing in Concord, Massachusetts. She conducts neuropsychological evaluations through testing of cognitive and learning issues such as ADHD and dyslexia. She also provides guidance for parents struggling to connect with their children. She takes a warm, problem solving approach to you and your concerns. Her goal is to identify blocks you put in your way, provide the tools to take control of your own life, and develop lifelong strategies to foster your independence. I am a seasoned, licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of people experiencing life/career stress, chronic pain, substance abuse, anxiety and/or depression. I treat adults, couples and families. I was the Chief Psychologist for the Lahey Pain Management Center in Danvers, Mass for 5 years and led a free chronic pain support group at Lahey- Beverly Hospital for 7 year.s I have written 2 books (one second edition), have had an American Psychological Association certificate for treating people with mixed substance use/abuse-dependence and am on the allied health courtesy staff at BI-Lahey-Beverly Hospital.

I help young people, couples, families and adults with problems in living through brief and long-term therapy as well and through psychoeducational evaluations. Until my recent move from New York to Cambridge, Massachusetts, I ran an externship in working with children and adolescents for many years. I have supervised, taught, presented, and published; I have seen such a variety of problems that I am reluctant to say that I specialize. I approach people as individuals rather than as diagnostic categories, and don't assume a single treatment approach for everyone. The relationship we build is our best tool for making a difference.
