Representation matters and I am part of the LGBT community, latinx and have an invisible disability. I have been doing this work for about 10 years (MSW Boston College 2015). I am ready when you are! Genuine compassion and trust is at the root of any solid relationship and necessary for success to manifest! We have to be willing and ready to do the messy work. As your therapist, I also have to be ready. I have to be ready and capable of containing all of what comes up in therapy.

I am a social worker that does community activism. Many times people have problems because of the injustices built into our system. In my work in therapy I can help people to identify issues in their lives and give them skills to deal with situations they find themselves in. I want to remove stigma from mental health treatment by offering it to everyone. I am committed to treating people with every day issues that may negatively impact their lives so that they can move forward to have happy and successful lives. I want to listen to people and help them develop the skills they need.

It takes effort to make that first step to go to therapy and I understand the hesitation to open up your personal life to a stranger. I want my clients to feel safe in my care and to feel they can be open and share the dark and unwanted realities of their lives. I am not here to judge, I am here to help. Hi there! I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I have worked with those navigating a variety of different life challenges and changes, though my specialty is in dealing with trauma and grief, particularly pre-verbal trauma in early childhood. I believe one of the most powerful statements we can hear is: "I'm with you" and this is what I try to embody for my clients and their families. I am also an ordained pastor, have a Masters of Divinity, and am happy to incorporate pastoral counseling and Christian spirituality into treatment if desired.

I help them cope with acute crisis such as suicide, cancer, death of a loved one, sexual assault, domestic violence and bullying. I specialize in crisis, trauma, and traumatic grief-specific to child-loss & bereavement, which often leads to PTSD symptoms/depression/anxiety often decreasing a persons quality of life. My goal is to create a sense of safety, hope and worth in an individuals worldview.

Embrace emerged from the desire that two mental health counselors had to offer more comprehensive care to people. They had their own private practice and worked on the mental health sector for years. They had a unique vision to better serve their community and decided to join forces to serve more people than they were able to on their own. In response to this call, they stepped out in faith to leave their private practice and community jobs to form Embrace Pathways to Wellness.
