Welcome! With over 25 years of experience working with people of all ages as a trauma and grief therapist, I have helped individuals and families learn to cope with a wide range of issues including partner loss, anxiety, depression, family conflict, complex trauma and sexual assault. I provide parent guidance and coaching for caregivers who have children with challenging behaviors and special needs. I have expertise with foster, kinship and adoptive families. I offer therapy to tweens, teens and young adults who may need support with life transitions and relationships. My work with clients is always collaborative and strength-based.

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with over 12 years of experience providing individual and family therapy with children, youth, young adults and their families. I have worked in outpatient settings, preschools, and residential programs. I specialize in working with clients with ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, adoption, grief/loss, substance abuse, and anger management.

For the past 15 years I have worked with children, adolescents and adults with ASD, depression, anxiety and trauma. These individuals are often impacted by emotional dysregulation, which limits their potential and reduces their ability to participate and succeed in specific environments. My clients often internalize their perceived deficits and have identified themselves as being “less than” or “not good enough”. My work focuses on supporting abilities, recognizing strengths, honoring differences and valuing uniqueness while providing opportunities to observe their patterns of behavior that inhibit them from taking action.

The most important part of therapy is building a good rapport with the individual to create a safe and comfortable space. Therapy isn't always easy and neither is the decision to find a therapist; working to ensure clients are comfortable with me and helping them to identify their goals so that the treatment trajectory is predictable, but allows for space to talk about day to day events, if needed. Lastly, ensuring client and therapist personalities align is important as it only enhances the sense of safety and the capacity for positive rapport growth.

Arthur E. Cash is a Psychotherapist and Mental Health Consultant. Having experience as a school-based therapist and as a parent, I am helpful as a parent coach/mentor/therapist and enjoy working with teens regarding school-related challenges.

I recognize that entering therapy is a big decision. I am sensitive to each client's specific needs and the pace in which the individual wishes to move in treatment. I make my best effort to support people in feeling comfortable, safe, and empowered in their sessions.
